For passing. It would be easier to just agree with you and say "yeah fuckem" but I offer you advice if you are willing to use it. Talk to your parents( you know them better than me)by phrasing this or saying this any type of tone needed for them to take what you are saying TO HEART. Example below. I'm going to assume that your parents care about dieing and/or money.
You: Mom/Dad do you value life? If so, why are you so anxious to put your life in danger? I'm a new driver and statistically I'm more likely than any other age group to tag your toes..and unless you like taunting death or losing money I suggest you let me drive the way that qualified me to be able to drive in the first place.
P.S: If offhand you know your parents don't care about dieing gimmick then just say unless your willing to pay my tickets I suggest you let me drive..if they actually agree to it then say if I get a ticket(assuming your under your parents insurance) your premiums will rise.

Keeping up with the flow of traffic is more important than the speed limit. The speed limit may say 55, but if a thousand other cars are doing 80 you need to be going 80 too. Otherwise you could cause a fatal car accident or actually get pulled over for disrupting traffic flow. Is this your case? Because if it is, than you are not being safer by going slower than everyone, you're actually being a fucking hazard.
Also, this post took me almost an hour to read. Next time to want to pretend to be an adult, please realize that most adults do not find it necessary to swear every other word. Reading this was akin to being raped in the eye by a badger made out of needles dipped in flesh-eating virus residue. |

One of my best friends is an ex police Sergent. Great guy too. 17 years on the force until he got hired into private security. He will attest that traffic laws and police policies are designed to enforce the "go with the flow" mentality. They'll deliberately keep a high flow area un-patrolled to let the local drivers get used to going with the flow of traffic and then boom....election time comes and the mayor wants to appear to be giving a shit about safety and suddenly there are speed traps everywhere. It's all a money racket and it works and we all fall for it. The odds of a daily driver going their whole life without a speeding ticket are as good as winning the lotto jackpot.
Now, our young friend's parents may not be the smartest. I sure as hell wouldn't want a kid who has been driving for a month carting me around at 30mph over the limit. Then again, after driving stops being fun (when he has to drive somewhere every day i.e. work) he'll find out why they are so impatient.
Also, any analogy with a badger in it is instantly funny. Why is this? |

Just like in Onawa iowa In Monona county iowa
the county roads put up a speed trap in the north end of town on an overhead and will not put up red flags or a yellow sign with the speed limit sign in it.
Like i have asked many times over and over
instead The speed limit changes from 55 to 35 on a down hill in less than 500 feet and that is a trap if i have ever seen one
so do not come to onawa iowa unless you expect to get stop
the Truckers run the stop light and not get stop they also do 35 in 25 mile per hour down town and they do most of the time 50 in the 35 mile per hour zone and the police leave them alone most of the time
but the cars always get stopped
so you see just to let you know Onawa iowa is a speed trap waiting to get you |
